Request a Grant Writer

Grants ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 to Connecticut nonprofits to assist individuals in need in Lakeville and Salisbury. Funding is intended to provide appropriate financial support to individuals that, due to illness, lack of opportunity, or misfortune, are unable to support themselves.

Funding decisions will be awarded according to the following criteria:

Excellence: How worthy is the project or service? Is it the right time for the project? Does it involve qualified individuals/groups?

Impact: What is the potential impact of the project or service on the community? Who will it serve and how? Are there methods in place to assess the effectiveness of the project? What are the measurable outcomes for youth and their communities?

Ability: Can the applicant complete the project? Is the applicant capable of meeting the matching requirement? Does the organization exhibit a demonstrated capacity to initiate and successfully execute this project? Are appropriate staff members or volunteers involved?

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Nonprofit organizations for projects that provide support to residents of the Town of Salisbury in need are eligible.

Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation does not support organizations that, in their constitution, by-laws or practice, discriminate against a person or group on the basis of age, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, orientation, political affiliation or religious belief.

Individuals are not eligible to apply.

Pre-Application Information:

The deadline is December 31, 2017. You will be notified by email if your organization received full or partial funding or in some cases, if funding has been denied. Decisions are typically made within 6-8 weeks after the application deadline.
