Grants to Maryland nonprofit organizations in eligible locations for human service activities that address the daily and emergency needs of low and moderate-income families. Funding areas of interest include housing, and services for individuals with disabilities and individuals with and hearing and visual impairments. Previous funding recipients have included vocational services offices, family trauma centers, legal aid, and boys and girls clubs. Applicants must be located in Harford County.

Estimated Size of Grant:

There is a $5,000 request limit for first time applicants.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Qualifying applicants must:
- Be incorporated as a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization
- Primarily serve the low- to moderate-income and be able to document who is served
- Serve homeless, at-risk for homeless and/or provide affordable housing
- Be soundly managed, financially accountable and provide proof thereof (professional audit required)
- Hold activities in spaces available to the disabled
- Meet the needs of the visually and hearing impaired, upon notification of need

Applicants are prohibited from using funding to promote or further non-secular purposes.
