Grants to Shelby County, Tennessee nonprofit arts organizations for activities that will enrich the local cultural environment. Applicants must complete an organizational profile in an online database by November 16, 2017. Funding is available for both operating support and project support.
Priorities for funding typically emerge based on the scope and focus of the proposals that are received and reviewed by the panel. Proposals should focus on the strategic needs of your organization and how your organization will be serving the needs of the community.

The program runs from March 1 to December 2018.
Nonprofit organizations with an arts-based mission in Shelby County with a minimum three-year history of presenting quality arts projects. Organizations must have an active and supportive Board of Directors and be organized as a 501(c)3.
ArtsFirst grants may not be used to support:
- Trips and tours
- Charities sponsored solely by a single civic organization
- Charities that redistribute funds to other charitable organizations, except in the case of recognized united fund-type organizations
- K-12 schools and solely religious, veteran, social or fraternal organizations
- Political organizations or those having the primary purpose of influencing legislation or promoting a particular ideological point of view
- Operating budget deficits

Thursday, October 26, 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Thursday, November 30, 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Tuesday, December 12, 9:45 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
Tuesday, January 9, 2:45 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.
In order to receive support from ArtsMemphis (outside of Arts Build Communities grants), your organization must be registered on WHEREtoGIVEmidsouth.org. Complete or update your profile on WHEREtoGIVEmidsouth.org no later than November 16, 2017.

Each applicant organization must complete an organization profile and an ArtsFirst application by 5:00 p.m. on December 1, 2017.
