Grants to New Jersey nonprofits for programs that impact the cycle of poverty in Newark, and for programs that aim to protect the environment throughout the state of New Jersey. LOIs are due by January 5. Within Newark, funded projects have addressed K-12 education, neighborhood revitalization, strengthening youth and families, and the quality of the urban environment.
Note: Environment programs focus on both the quality of Newark’s environment and on land conservation and stewardship in the New Jersey Highlands, the Pinelands National Reserve, and the Kittatiny Ridge and Valley Region.

The LOI is due on January 5, 2018. The link to apply online for returning grantees will be sent to returning grantees about two months before the grant proposal due date of January 16, 2018. January 5, 2018: Letters of Intent (LOI) from New Applicants and land acquisition requests
January 16, 2018: All Current Grantees
January 19, 2018: Notification to LOI applicants
January 31, 2018: Full proposals due from LOI applicants
