Grants to Warrick County, Indiana nonprofit organizations to enhance the quality of life in local communities. Grantmaking areas include aging, children, women, domestic violence, economic and cultural development, education, environment, substance abuse, and volunteerism. Priorities within these funding areas are outlined as follows:

1) Aging - Supports helping older adults receive services essential to their physical, intellectual, emotional, economic and social well-being.

2) Children - Supports the opportunities and services essential for the physical, intellectual, emotional, economic and social growth of children.

3) Cultural and Economic Development - Supports cultural and economic development in the area, thereby enriching the quality of community life. The club also supports historical preservation efforts in the community.

4) Domestic Violence - Committed to supporting programs to eliminate domestic violence.

5) Education - Supports effort to ensure that all people have access to an education that will provide them with the skills needed to be productive members of society.

6) Environment - Committed to improving the quality of life by supporting and participating in efforts to protect and restore natural resources.

7) Substance Abuse - Opposes the use of illegal drugs, the misuse of legal drugs, and the abuse of alcohol. The club supports programs that educate the public regarding substance abuse treatment and prevention.

8) Volunteerism - Supports volunteerism as an essential tool for the growth of the local community.

9) Women - Supports giving women opportunities for personal growth, as well as their physical, intellectual, emotional, social and economic well being

Nonprofit organizations that provide services to Warrick County residents are eligible to apply, which could include tri-state residents.

Applicants must provide proof of 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.

All applications and attachments must be postmarked by 5:00 PM on January 4, 2017.

Award notifications will be issued in mid April. All approved applicants will be notified, in writing, that their grant application to acquire needed funds for their service project will be presented to them at the WCN monthly meeting and luncheon on the second Tuesday in May.

All grants awarded on May 9, 2017 require a representative from the non-profit organization receiving the grant to be present in order to receive grant funds.
