Grants to Virginia surgical residents for volunteer opportunities to practice in underdeveloped countries. Funding is intended to help cover travel expenses for residents interested in participating in humanitarian programs that provide surgical care in underdeveloped countries.

Funds are to be used only for expenses relating to the humanitarian trip to the developing country such as airfare, food, and lodging.

Virginia surgical residents are eligible.

Funds may not to be used for personal items or deemed to be payment for services.
