Grants to Westport, Connecticut organizations and local agencies for programs that benefit the local community and promote education. Grant requests must be for specific programs or activities rather than requests for general operating expenses such as salaries, rent, or overhead.
Requests must address at least one of the focus categories below:

Regular Grants range from $500 - $5,000. The minimum request for SuperGrants is $5,000 or more.
WYWL requires that funds granted will be used within one year of the time of disbursement (i.e. grant funds awarded during the 2018-2019 application cycle should be spent by June 30, 2020).
Organizations and agencies are eligible to apply for funding.

Applications are due at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.
Applications and all relevant materials must be emailed to the Naree W.S. Viner, Grants Chair or Stephanie Nickse, Grants Co-Chair.
Organizations whose proposals are selected to be considered for SuperGrants will be informed by February 2019. Representatives from each of these organizations will be invited to a WYWL General Meeting to present their proposals to WYWL members who will then vote on SuperGrants to be awarded.
Any grants not selected as possible SuperGrants will automatically be moved into consideration for regular grants. A League member will contact your organization to review your application and present it to WYWL members at a grants meeting.
This grant review process begins in January and continues through May 2019. Applicants will be contacted regarding their grant status as of June 15, 2019. Funds will be disbursed by June 30, 2019.
