Grants to Tompkins County, New York community organizations, neighborhood groups, small businesses, and individuals for grassroots projects that promote greater self-sufficiency, equity, and lasting economic, environmental, and social health. Funding is intended to support and stimulate resident-based, grassroots initiatives that improve the quality of life of residents by building capacity, resilience, and leadership through collaborative projects.

Projects should produce some specific results in 6 months or less.
Eligible applicants are residents of Tompkins County, including neighborhood or community organizations, small businesses, groups of neighbors with a specific project in mind, or civic-minded individuals who can show community support for their project.
Applications are due on a quarterly basis: March 1, June 1, September 1, and December 1.
