Grants to Texas, New York, and Florida nonprofit organizations to benefit eligible communities in the areas of health, education, community services, and Jewish heritage. Funding is intended for organizations that have a relationship with the Funding Source, and are located in the communities of Dallas County, Texas; Palm Beach County, Florida; and New York City, which includes portions of Westchester and Nassau Counties and the North Shore of Long Island.

Program Areas:

1) Community Services - Programs that serve the poor and disenfranchised, especially those programs that:

-Strengthen families
-Develop children
-Address the senior population
-Train people in job skills
-Provide health services

2) Health - Programs that address the prevention and treatment of illness and disease

3) Education - Programs that assist the financially disadvantaged with:

-Equality of access
-Early intervention
-Academic assistance and enrichment

4) Jewish Heritage - Programs that address:

-Identity and heritage
-Human services

Priority is given to programs and organizations that:

-Promote organization or personal self-sufficiency.
-Are innovative approaches to solving social problems.
-Articulate clear outcomes and are accountable for them.
-Can be replicated or scaled for larger impact.

The Foundation encourages:

-Requests for programs and projects, rather than ongoing operating support.
-Programs that include an element of collaboration or the possibility of using other community support.

Applicants must provide a copy of the most recent 501(c)(3) tax-exempt determination letter from the I.R.S.

Please note: The engagement of Foundation family members in the work or cause of an organization is an overarching requirement for funding. That said, if none of the Foundation family members are involved with your organization, funding is unlikely, especially if you have not been funded by us in the past.

-Generally, the Foundation does not make grants to construct churches, temples or synagogues; to underwrite fundraising events, professional conferences, symposia, performances or competition expenses; or toward general sustentation drives.

-Grants generally are not made to establish or to add to endowments.

-Grant funds are not available to support deficit financing or to repay debts.

Additionally, the Foundation does not ordinarily provide:
-Major support for the arts.
-Grants to individuals.
-Scholarships and fellowships to individuals (except through colleges and universities).

Letters of Inquiry must be received by the close of business (5:00 PM CST) on June 23, 2017 for consideration at the Fall 2017 Board Meeting.

Please wait for us to contact you. Grant proposals are taken under consideration twice yearly. After reviewing your initial Letter of Inquiry, if the Foundation is interested, you may receive a request to submit additional details or supporting materials.
