Grants of up to $1,100, grants of up to $2,200, and grants of up to $3,200 to Michigan high school sports teams to purchase chocolate milk to support athletic performance during practices and games. Teams are required to work with a food service director or other vendors to purchase the chocolate milk. School must participate in one webinar and complete a short evaluation form. Priority will be given to new applicants.

Grantees will receive cash to purchase low-fat chocolate milk for their team to replenish after practices and games for the entire season (cash value determined by size of team), up to two soft-sided wheeled cooler bags for easy milk transport, prizes, nutrition education materials to use for the promotion of Chocolate Milk: Nature’s Sports Drink, and professional posters featuring the teams’ chocolate milk mustache photo.

Grants will be selected based on the completeness of the application and how the team will be able to sustain the availability of chocolate milk for future practices and games.

Grants will be provided to at least 200 Fall, Winter, and Spring high school sports teams in Michigan.

Funding is provided for the 2018-2019 school year.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Michigan high school spring sports teams may apply.

Fall Sports – May 25, 2018
Winter Sports – October 5, 2018
Spring Sports – January 25, 2019

Grant winners will be notified within two weeks of the application deadline.

Schools may submit applications for multiple sports, however, only one school team will be awarded per sport season.
