Estimated Size of Grant:

Grants may be requested in amounts ranging from a minimum of $250 to a maximum of $3,000. Grants may be fully or partially funded as determined by the Grants Subcommittee.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Any organization or individual can apply for a grant to support a project, but the grant recipient must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or have a fiscal agent at a qualified organization.

Ineligible Requests / Ineligible Use of Funds:
- The ComFest Grants Program does not fund festivals, parades, seminars, conferences, or general operations.

Pre-Application Information:

Grants applications are typically available in November, and are due the day after Martin Luther King Day each year. The upcoming deadline for grant applications and supporting materials is January 19, 2021.

Grant applications will be reviewed and scored by Grants Subcommittee members pending the selection of finalists by April 30, 2021. Grant awards will be announced and distributed at the membership meeting in May 2021. The ComFest General Planning Committee will make final decisions on all grants based on the recommendations of the Grants Subcommittee. All applicants will be notified of the final decision.

Grant applicants must show community support for their project in the form of documented cash or in-kind matching resources, which may include volunteer activity.
