Grants ranging from $250 to $3,000 to Ohio nonprofit organizations, as well as all other types of organizations and individuals with nonprofit fiscal sponsors, for projects that advance social change and social justice in any or all of the following Counties: Franklin, Madison, Union, Delaware, Licking, Fairfield, and Pickaway.

ComFest encourages collaborative projects among grant seekers that aim to result in positive community action. Priority will be given to organizations with new and innovative projects; however, funding will also be provided for existing projects.

Grants are made to support special projects, defined as an activity that occurs within a specific timeframe and serves the mission of your organization.

Funding in the past has gone to support proposals for: an actor's theater for youth, scholarships for young musicians, start-up expenses for radio women's programming, suicide outreach services, a human trafficking awareness campaign, and more.

Grants may be requested in amounts ranging from a minimum of $250 to a maximum of $3,000.

Any organization or individual can apply for a grant to support a project, but the grant recipient must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or have a fiscal agent at a qualified organization.

Eligible Use of Funds:

Grant monies may be utilized for project-based administrative costs, such as printing and copying; telephone and fax; postage and delivery costs; rent or utilities costs; and honoraria. An honorarium shall be defined as a payment given for professional services that are rendered nominally or without charge. Grants may also fund specific projects or capital items.

Ineligible Requests / Ineligible Use of Funds:

- Grant monies may not be utilized for the cost of a fiscal agent, salaries, or wages.
- The ComFest Grants Program does not fund festivals, parades, seminars, conferences, or general operations.
- Grant applications in support of a single political or other issue, which would endanger ComFest’s nonprofit status, will not be considered.

Application instructions are attached below (see Supporting Documents). The Cover Sheet and Budget Forms are also attached below.
