Scholarships of up to $4,000 to Minneapolis, Minnesota Jewish men and women participating in Israel-based programs. To apply you must be between the ages of 18 and 30, a permanent resident of the Minneapolis metropolitan area, and planning to take part in an Israel program that is at least two months long.

The program must be MASA-recognized (or with an equivalent educational component included) and administered by a nonprofit organization. Award amounts are based on program fees and are not affected by individual need. Applicants must be accepted to their desired program before applying for a grant.

Award amounts are based on program fees.

- For tuition payments of up to $10,000 there is an award of up to $2,000.
- For tuition payments between $10,001 and $15,000, there is an award of up to $3,000.
- For tuition payments between $15,001 and $20,000, there is an award of up to $3,500.
- For tuition payments of over $20,000 there is an award of up to $4,000.

The program must be at least 2 months in length.

Eligible applicants are:

- Between the ages of 18 and 30 years old
- Permanent residents of the Minneapolis metropolitan area
- Planning to take part in an Israel-based program that is at least two months in length

The Boroff Israel Scholarship Fund is not a needs-based grant.

Prior to leaving Israel, applicants will need to discuss with fund coordinator additional opportunities and requirements available to enhance the Israel experience.

Deadlines are December 2, April 14 and July 21.
Decisions will be announced by late January, May, and mid-August.
Scholarships must be approved before the program begins.
All scholarship requests are strictly confidential.
