Adult Mental Health Initiatives Grants

Grants to Rhode Island Nonprofits to Provide
Mental Health Services for Adults and the Elderly

GrantWatch ID#: 177019
Agency Type:

Foundation / Corporation

CharterCARE Foundation

11/30/16

Grants of up to $50,000 to Rhode Island nonprofit organizations for programs that provide mental health services for adult and elderly populations. Programs should encourage participation by health care professionals as well as family members, with special emphasis on population gaps in under-served communities.

Preference will be given to new proposals addressing critical gaps in unmet needs as described above or substantial increase in proven programs.

Proposals must clearly address the following:

- Scope of the program;
- Number of patients it will serve;
- How access to the program will be achieved;
- How patient progress will be monitored and tracked; how outcomes will be measured;
- If this proposal is not funded, how will the organization address this need?

Proposals up to $50,000 will be considered.

Applicants must be a 501(c)3 Rhode Island nonprofit in good financial standing; grants will be awarded to organizations, not individuals.

Requirements:

In addition to the proposal description, please include a 12-month proposal budget, a current fiscal year organizational budget comparing actual revenue to expenses budgeted, a cover letter including an executive summary of your proposal answering the 6 key points above, and the last two audits. Please include any anticipated funding from other agencies.

The 12-month proposal budget should include:

- All income for the project that the organization currently has on hand, and funding that is
anticipated;
- Break-down of all personnel by position and percentage of time that the employee will devote to this project (a class of employees may be grouped together). The Foundation discourages organizations from submitting proposals that focus directly/solely on staff hires or salary and benefit budget relief.

Before starting your grant application, please review the funding source's website listed below for updates/changes/addendums/conferences/LOIs.

Send applications electronically to grants@chartercarefoundation.org or mail to: CharterCARE Foundation Grants Committee, 7 Waterman Avenue, North Providence, RI 02911 by November 30 2016.
