Grants of $1,000 to USA K-12 teachers for technology solutions for the classroom that will address challenges in students' learning and improve educational methods. Teachers must submit an original essay to compete for a grant. Essays will be judged on completeness, creativity, and student involvement.

Ideas for how technology will facilitate a more constructive learning environment will vary, but all submissions should include:
- An observed learning challenge that is amplified by inadequate technology.
- The specific technology or technologies you plan to implement.
- How this technology will support your teaching efforts.
- The anticipated impact improved technology will have on your students.

The recipients will each receive a one-time $1,000 grant in the form of a Visa Reward Card to be applied toward a technology solution for the classroom.




Applicants must be employed full-time as a Kindergarten-12th grade teacher at an elementary school, middle school, or high school in the United States. Participating schools must appear in the National Center for Education Statistics database (available at Applicants must also intend to continue teaching throughout the 2016-2017 school year. All applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents of the United States.

The winners will be announced by 11:59 p.m. EST on March 10, 2017.
