Description:

Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $10,000 to Idaho institutions of higher education for programs that support underserved students in receiving access to a higher education and assist them in completing their degrees. Funding will be awarded to applicants who will distribute scholarships to low-income students or to those who are the first generation in their families to attend college.

Low-income generally includes students who are eligible for Pell grants or from families eligible for one of the following public assistance programs: Food Stamps, Free and Reduced Price Lunch, or Temporary Assistance to Needy Families.

The advisors prefer that qualified applicants make an effort to provide more students with smaller scholarships (ex: 6 scholarships of $1,000) rather than a few students with larger scholarships (ex: 2 scholarships of $3,000).
