Fellowships of up to $5,000 to USA preK-12th grade teachers and up to $10,000 to teams of teachers for projects that support summertime professional growth and positively affect student achievement and learning. Webinars will take place November 30 and December 14, 2016.

Grants can be used for an unlimited variety of projects that are designed to create enhanced learning environments for teachers, their students, and their school communities.

Teachers: up to $5,000
Teacher teams: up to $10,000

Fellowships should begin after the last day of school in the spring and be completed by the first day of school in the fall, with all fellowship related expenditures made by September 28, 2017.

Full-time preK-12th grade teachers:

-Spending at least 50% of their work week in direct classroom instruction
-Returning to the classroom in the consecutive school year
-Will have at least three years’ experience as a preK-12th grade teacher at the end of the school year.

Fund for Teachers will not provide monies for:

- Student travel
- The completion of baccalaureate or post baccalaureate degrees, including:
- Courses for graduate credit or
- University College or Credit Hours
- Onsite (or campus) professional development at your school or by the district
- Compensation for substitutes
- Stipend
- Only classroom supplies, such as books, technology, or other materials. There must be a learning experience included.

The events will be conducted online via webinar. You will need access to both a computer (with internet) and a phone to participate.

Notes: You must RSVP for this event. An email with the webinar details will be sent out the day before the call. This session will cover the basics of FFT, including how to craft a successful grant proposal.

All applicants must apply online between October 1, 2016 and January 31, 2017, with final submissions made by 5 pm CST on Thursday, January 31, 2017.

The entire application is completed online and will require digital signatures. As part of the application process, an email will be sent from to your principal to verify your eligibility.

Applicants will be notified of the selection committee results by April 5, 2017. Awardees will be required to attend a pre-fellowship Orientation.
