Awards to Alaska teachers and educators to recognize outstanding efforts to inspire students and enhance the learning experience. Nominations are invited on behalf of individuals whose work offers a model for teaching, learning, and leadership in schools and communities throughout the state.
Nominations can be received for Alaska teachers from every community in the state. Teachers will be recognized in five regions: Anchorage, Fairbanks, Mat-Su Valley, Kenai Peninsula and outlying areas (everywhere else).
You can nominate other individuals making a difference in your school for the Educational Allies Award, such as a principal, school nurse, custodian, teacher assistant, tutor, parent volunteer or others.

Anyone can nominate a teacher or Educational Ally – students, parents, community members, administrators and fellow teachers.
Nominations must be submitted by February 1, 2018.
Winners will be notified by March 30, 2018. If you nominated a winning teacher or Educational Ally, you will be sent an invitation to attend the award ceremony. The list of winners will be announced on the website in May.
