Grants to Arizona nonprofit organizations, local governments, and Native American Tribes for programs that benefit military veterans and their families throughout the State. Generally, funding is intended to support veterans through initiatives that address the following objectives: employment, health and mental health, women and minority issues, and homelessness.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Large Grants: $5,000 - $75,000
Small Grants: Up to $4,999.99

For Large Grants, a total of $800,000 is available.

Term of Contract:

The term of the Contract shall commence upon signature of Award of Grant and shall continue for one year, unless sooner terminated.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility for VDF Grants
Grantee must be a 501(c) charitable organization. Preferable to ADVS, Grantee has a primary mission of providing benefits to Arizona’s Veterans and is compatible with ADVS’ objectives determined by the Director.

For Large Grants - Eligible Applicants:
-Local Government
-Native American Tribe
-Non Profits

ADVS encourages collaboration by entities to form community partnerships in order to submit joint VDF grant proposals, whenever doing so would improve the collaborating entities’ ability to deliver useful services to Arizona Veterans.

Pre-Application Information:

For Large Grants, proposals will be accepted from November 1 through December 31, 2018.

Small Grant Proposals are accepted throughout the year, dependent on the availability of VDF money.

All Requests for Grant Proposals of $5,000 - $75,000 must be submitted through eCivis, a cloud-based grants management system.
