Wyoming State Historical Society (WSHS)
Grants ranging from $100 to $1,500 to Wyoming amateur and professional historians for the preservation, promotion, and research of state history. All topics must be directly related to Wyoming. Emphasis is placed on original research. A proposal must provide a statement of purpose and demonstrate the project's value to Wyoming history, as well as a description of how the public will benefit from the research.
Acceptable uses of grant funds include travel expenses (mileage, airfare, lodging, meals); research related fees (scanning and copy fees, flash drives); and postage.

Grants range from $100 up to $1,500.
The award also includes a complimentary one-year membership in the Wyoming State Historical Society. If applicant is already a member, then their membership will be extended for one year.
All projects must be completed in one year. An extension may be requested for extenuating circumstances.
Applications are invited from both amateur and professional historians.
If an organization applies, one person must be designated as project director.
Preference will be given to Wyoming State Historical Society members.
Wyoming residents are also given preference.
Funds do not support the purchase of equipment and/or software, construction of exhibits, or publication costs. Proposals with such requests will be disqualified.
The grant deadline is midnight the last day of February.
The committee will make its decision and the Executive Secretary will notify ALL applicants of the outcome by the first of June.
