Grants of up to $10,000 to Texas nonprofit organizations in Dallas and Travis Counties for programs and projects that seek to improve early childhood education. The funding source is committed to improving the greater Dallas and Austin communities by helping future generations achieve through early childhood learning.

Through financial gifts and service, The Foundation strives to support groups who are locally based, believe in the importance of early intervention and are focused on breaking the cycle of under-achievement by at-risk and underprivileged students.

Funding will go to clearly defined programs, projects, supplies, and/or technology.

Eligibility of Organizations to Receive Funds:

Applicants and potential recipients of financial support from The Slingshot Foundation must meet all of the following criteria in order to be considered eligible for funding:

- Work in the issue area of education in whole or in part.
- Be locally based in Dallas County or Travis County and serve primarily the local area.
- Be a certified 501(c)3 organization and be able to provide a copy of certification as proof.
- Be able to provide independently audited annual financial statements upon request.
- Submit all requests in writing.

Unspecified operating funds will not be considered eligible.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications will be judged and recipients selected based on the overall quality of the submissions.

The grant application deadline is December 15, 2017.
