Request a Grant Writer

Sabbatical of one year and equivalent salary plus project costs to a New Hampshire public school teacher to complete a project of the applicant's choosing. Funding is intended to reward teachers and inspire them to even greater achievements. The goal of this program is to allow teachers time off to explore, investigate, network, and to bring back to their own classrooms and to other teachers new insights and a depth of experience which will positively impact education in New Hampshire.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Grant amount is equivalent to a full year’s salary, plus FICA, and project expenses of up to $12,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be a current, full-time classroom teacher (as defined by contract) in a New Hampshire public school
- Have at least five years of classroom teaching experience in New Hampshire
- Hold a valid New Hampshire teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsement(s) for your current assignment

Teachers must agree to return to teach in the same district for at least one year following the sabbatical.

Pre-Application Information:

The application deadline is Friday, February 16, 2018, 5:00 pm Eastern time.

Finalists will be selected in late February and invited for an interview with the selection committee in March. If your project is funded, you will be notified in late March.
