Arizona-Nevada Academy of Science (ANAS)
Award to a Nevada or Arizona educator, administrator, or volunteer who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in improving the quality of K-12 STEM education. Nominees should have made meaningful contributions beyond a single classroom, for example, at a school or throughout the district, city, area, or state.
Qualified nominees may include, but are not limited to educators, volunteers, administrators, or others who have effected change at the above-mentioned levels, including individuals working in after-school or summer programs.

The recipient of the award will be presented with a plaque and $50 gift card.
Nominees may be individuals working in charter, private, and public schools, as well as organizations such as museums, after-school clubs, and other educational organizations.
Any nominated individual working with grade K-12 youth in one of these capacities who has not previously received this recognition will be considered.
The deadline to submit a nomination is January 31st of each year.
The annual winner will be notified of his/her selection in February.
The recipient of the award will be presented with a plaque and gift card at the Annual Awards Luncheon held each spring (usually late March or early April) as part of the Academy's Annual Meeting. Lunch will be provided for the recipient and one guest. If your nominee is the educator selected for recognition, you and your guest will also be invited to join them at the luncheon.
