Grants ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 to Oregon and Washington nonprofit organizations to benefit communities within the Portland metropolitan area. Program areas include education, environment, and physical activity and wellness. Eligible locations include Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas Counties in Oregon; and Clark County in Southwest Washington.

Grant seeking organizations must fall under one of the following areas of focus:

- Youth Education: an emphasis on all students reading at their grade levels, as well as STEM programming

- Youth Health and Wellness: an emphasis on soccer and inclusiveness, embracing all ability levels

- Environment: an emphasis on building awareness and activism through growing the greenbelt and gardens within city limits

Grants from the PTCF are awarded in the $2,500 - $10,000 range.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible applicants are charitable, nonprofit organizations that are registered as a 501(c)(3) with tax-exempt status from the IRS and are located within one of the four surrounding Counties of the Portland metro area: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, and Clark County in SW Washington.

The PTCF will not consider requests from individuals, private foundations, organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, class, gender, or national origin, organizations that support political campaigns or lobbyist groups, or fraternal or religiously affiliated organizations. The PTCF will discard requests from individual schools, PTOs, or PTAs. The PTCF will only review requests that are tied to a specific project at a nonprofit organization and will not consider donations that will be used for annual appeals, debt reduction, endowment funds, employee salaries, legal expenses and/or operational expenses.

Organizations who receive a grant will not be eligible for additional funding from the PTCF until a calendar year has passed.

Pre-Application Information:

The proposal review and approval process will take place the two months preceding granting, so please take that into account when determining the timing of funds needed.

Cycle 1 Timeline:
-Proposals Due by: 5:00 PM on February 2, 2018
-Grantees Awarded and Recognized: May 2018
-Grantee Evaluations Due: November 2018

Cycle 2 Timeline:
-Proposals Due by: 5:00 PM on June 1, 2018
-Grantees Awarded and Recognized: September 2018
-Grantee Evaluations Due: March 2018
