Grants of up to $12,500 and grants ranging from $12,500 to $50,000 to Oregon nonprofit organizations for programs in the areas of education, arts, health, and the environment. The Foundation seeks to make transformational contributions to programs that provide a broad public benefit, primarily for Oregon residents.

Impact Areas:

Education:
-Encouraging youth to succeed in school
-Engaging students with limited economic means to complete high school and pursue post-secondary education
-Supporting education and athletic programs that enhance communities

Health:
-Promoting oral health in children
-Serving children with severe, long-term health concerns
-Inspiring healthy living in children and young adults
-Supporting programs for adults with severe health issues that encourage independence, self-reliance, and influence quality of life

The Arts:
-Inspiring personal growth in the arts and arts education
-Serving youth who have long-term health concerns through the arts

Environment:
-Supporting programs that have a direct benefit to the community and improve and strengthen the environment

While the impact areas have a broad base, they all share a single objective - to improve and strengthen communities throughout Oregon.

Characteristics the Foundation will look for include:

-Significant projects which hold promise to accomplish a measurable impact in the area and for the purpose for which the applicant requests support.

-Organizations that are experienced in delivering effective programs, have talented and motivated leadership and possess the ability to achieve uncommon results.

-Programs which are consistent with the Reser Family Foundation identified areas of giving.

-Capital campaign projects that are more than 50% funded

The Reser Family Foundation offers two Grant Programs:

-Fast Track Grant Program for requests under $12,500.

-The Reser Family Foundation Grant Program for requests from $12,500 to $50,000.

-Fast Track Grant Program: Requests under $12,500

-The Reser Family Foundation Grant Program: Requests of $12,500 - $50,000

Recipients must have a current 501(c)(3) tax exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service or be a qualified nonprofit organization, and be currently registered and in good standing with the appropriate State and Federal Agencies.

Grants will not be provided to defray deficits, for debt or mortgage retirement, for political campaigns, for lobbyist groups, for events, for projects involving litigation or for conduit organizations which use funds granted to support other organizations.

The Fast Track Grant Program application process is designed to provide streamlined access and support to organizations using a one-step application.

The regular Reser Family Foundation Grant Program follows a two stage grant process that starts with an organization submitting a Grant Request (LOI) on-line. After a review, approved organizations are invited to provide a full grant proposal. A site visit may be scheduled during the process.

Fast Track and Grant Request (LOI) Deadlines are February 1 and August 1 each year. Grant cycles occur twice a year, finishing in June and December.

Renewal applications follow the same process as new applications. The Foundation will consider only one grant request from the same organization in a twelve month period, unless an additional request is invited by the Foundation.
