Community Foundation of North Central Washington (CFNCW)
Grants of up to $5,000 to Washington public schools and school districts to benefit PreK-12 students in Chelan, Okanogan, and Douglas counties. Funding is intended to enhance the student learning experience, support teacher professional development, and enable schools to better implement their goals.

In reviewing grant proposals, the Community Foundation generally utilizes the following evaluation criteria:
-Is there an established need for the project or program for which the grant is requested? How was that need determined? (Statistical data, documented lack of services, etc.)
-Is the school in a position to effectively manage the project or program? (strong leadership, volunteer and staff capacity, unified vision/culture)
-How many students will be directly served by the project?
-Is the program or project well planned and likely to succeed? (realistic budget – both income and expenses, evaluation or outcomes targeted and measures in place)
Multiple programs or projects may be included in one application. For example: one application can include a classroom project, a PTA project, and an education foundation project.
