Grants of up to $25,000 to Northeast Georgia nonprofit organizations for programs and projects focusing on educational opportunities and food insufficiency in the Gwinnett County area. Funding during this grant cycle is intended only for organizations that address these impact areas. Grant funds must be used for capacity building or capital expenses.

The Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia believes philanthropy can play an important role in improving the quality of life and in helping to build an inclusive, caring and vibrant community.

Estimated Size of Grant:

- Organizations may apply for grants up to $25,000.
- Impact grants awarded (greater than $5,000) will be matching challenge grants.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Requests that include collaboration among similar organizations are encouraged.

Salaries cannot be funded with general grants.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications are due by March 15, 2019, 11:59 PM, EST.

Impact grants awarded will be matching challenge grants. A challenge grant allows your organization to leverage the Community Foundation grant to raise additional funds. For Example: A 2:1 challenge grant pays your organization $1 for every $2 you raise in new money, effectively making a $10,000 grant worth $30,000 to your bottom line. If requested, your organization should have the necessary capacity to raise the challenge funds prior to June 1, 2020.
