Awards of $2,500 to recognize Maryland PreK-5 teachers in Montgomery County who have demonstrated a sincere dedication to the teaching profession. Nominees must share their enthusiasm for learning with students, encourage them to set high goals, and foster relationships with colleagues, parents, and community members. In addition, eligible candidates are those that go the extra mile to ensure that their students receive the support they need to succeed and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of subject matter which is communicated effectively to students.

The winner will receive a $2,500 monetary award.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Nominees serve as elementary school teachers (prekindergarten through Grade 5) and work directly with students in the classroom on a daily basis.

Pre-Application Information:

All nomination materials must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019.

The Selection Committee will review nominations and make its announcement by April 2019.
