Grants of up to $3,500 to Perry County, Pennsylvania nonprofits for innovative, collaborative projects that will improve the quality of life for local residents. Funding is intended for programs in the areas of arts, culture, education, community development, the environment, and health and human services.

PCCF’s strategic grantmaking focus is to invest in innovative, collaborative approaches and solutions to community problems, and to support projects that demonstrate achievable outcomes, the potential for replication as a model program, and plans for sustainability beyond the grant term.

The criteria used by the Grantmaking Committee are collaboration, capacity, creativity, diversity, relevance, sustainability, and results.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The maximum grant award is $3,500. In 2017, grant awards ranged from $750 -$3,500. PCCF will not fund 100% of any project.

Term of Contract:

Proposed projects may take place at any time during the grant year beginning July 1, 2018, and ending June 30, 2019.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible projects must serve individuals, groups, and/or locations within Perry County.

Applicants must either be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, or have a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization act as a fiscal sponsor for the proposed project.

This grant opportunity does not fund:

- Advertising
- Capital campaigns
- Direct lobbying to influence legislation or funding appropriations
- Individuals
- National and statewide umbrella organizations that cannot demonstrate a local presence
- New staff positions without a substantial plan for sustainability
- Religious organizations for religious purposes
- Retroactive projects

Pre-Application Information:

Applicants may request a draft review of their application materials by the Program Officer for Community Investment prior to submission. Draft review requests should be limited to one review and staff will not be able to honor technical assistance requests made later than two weeks prior to the submission deadline.

Grant Timeline
- October 21, 2017: Application available.
- February 1, 2018: All application materials (both online and mailed or hand delivered) must be received by, not postmarked by, 4:00pm.
- Applicants will be notified of their status on or by June 1, 2018.
- Proposed projects may take place at any time during the grant year beginning July 1, 2018 and ending June 30, 2019.

Please Note: PCCF will present grant checks at its annual grant presentation luncheon to take place in Spring 2018 and a representative from each grantee must attend. The date and time of the PCCF Annual Grant Luncheon is to be announced.
