Grants starting at $5,000 to Greater Louisville Area, Kentucky nonprofit organizations to improve the lives of children by promoting quality learning and education. Applicants must contact the Foundation’s executive director prior to applying. The Foundation promotes the advancement of Waldorf education and fosters hands-on learning experiences in Louisville, Kentucky.

Through grants, the Foundation supports organizations that are engaged in sound administrative practices; have passionate leaders; track the results of the programs they manage; and encourage staff entrepreneurship and innovation.

Grants range from $5,000 to $100,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants are made to 501(c)(3) public charities in Louisville, Kentucky. Grants are not made to private foundations or to individuals. The Foundation may not designate funds for legislation or support activities that seek to influence the legislative process, except as allowed by the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.

Pre-Application Information:

After viewing the funding guidelines and speaking with the Executive Director about your request, submit your request using the Foundation’s online application.

The Board of Directors meets three times per year. Application deadlines precede the meeting by approximately one month.

2018 grant application deadlines are March 1 and October 1. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM on the deadline date.

Applicants will be contacted by the Executive Director after each Board meeting to learn whether the application was approved or declined.
