Grants ranging from $8,000 to $10,000 to Washington, DC nonprofit organizations for creative projects that engage District residents in the humanities. First-time proposal writers must attend a grant writing workshop prior to applying; sessions will be held in January and February. This program encourages open interpretation and creativity.

The powerpoint presentation from the previous cycle (2017) states that first-time proposal writers are required to attend a grant writing workshop prior to submitting their application.
