Scholarships to California teens and young adults in eligible locations for organized trips and educational programs in Israel. The purpose of this program is to foster a connection to Jewish culture and history and strengthen Jewish identity. Eligible applicants are teens ages 13-18; college students ages 18-26 in San Francisco, the Peninsula (from Mountain View north), Marin, and Sonoma Counties; and college students and young adults ages 18-40 in Alameda, Contra Costa, Napa and Solano Counties.
Recognizing the impact of Israel experiences on Jewish identity development, the Federation provides need-based scholarships for teens and young adult travel to Israel.
Scholarship recipients must participate in an organized teen program, educational program, Masa Journey (http://www.masaisrael.org/), or other group-sponsored trips. Scholarship funds are to be used strictly for program fees and travel.
