Grants to Montana nonprofit organizations to improve the quality of life for residents of local communities. A Letter of Intent must be submitted prior to applying. Past areas of support include community development, arts and humanities, education, city and government agencies, environment, human services, and health and wellness. Preference will be given to organizations in Central Montana.
The Browning Kimball Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life through support of youth and families, health with an emphasis on prevention, arts and humanities, and sustainable agriculture.
The Directors are sensitive to the needs of communities, large and small, and look for mission statements that enhance living conditions for people with all levels of abilities.

In an effort to promote good governance and fundraising practices, the Browning Kimball Foundation may limit grants of operational support to four (4) successive years. At that time, the Board may decided to cease funding. Browning Kimball Foundation grantees are encouraged to maintain a large funding base and not become reliant on one funder.
