Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 to Seattle, Washington youth for travel to Israel on an educational youth/peer program, consisting of volunteer work, adventure travel, study, and community service. The scholarships are based solely on financial need. Funding is intended to develop teens' Jewish identity and enrich their Jewish education.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle now requires all recipients of Israel scholarships to return to Seattle at the end of their Israel program and complete an allotted number of volunteer or community engagement hours in the community.

Federation scholarships average between $1,000 and $3,000 and may go slightly higher in exceptional circumstances.

To be eligible for the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle Israel Scholarship, you must:

- Be a permanent resident of Washington State and return to Seattle upon completion of your program for a period of time that will allow you to complete the required volunteer hours.
- Participate in an Israel program that starts anytime from the summer after ninth grade through the summer after high school graduation. Gap year programs are not eligible.
- Select an Israel program that is an educational youth/peer program (adventure travel, community service, volunteer work, academic program). Family trips are not covered. Jewish programs to other countries are not eligible.
- Seek additional sources of scholarship funding from your synagogue (if you are affiliated) and your Israel program or sponsoring organization. If you do not seek additional funding, you will be asked to do so before your application is reviewed.
