Description:

Request a Grant Writer

Grants to Israel nonprofit organizations for projects to promote inclusion and cooperation between all sectors of Israeli society. Applicants must submit a Letter of Intent prior to submitting a full application. Funding is intended to support projects that facilitate dialogue between groups of different backgrounds or combat discrimination and prejudice. The Foundation prefers hands-on projects that clearly advance the goal of a shared Israeli society.

Requests will be accepted from NGOs focused on and committed to a shared Israeli society, that run specific programs where people from different "tribes", backgrounds and/or beliefs work together to advance joint living, inclusion, discourse, cooperation, mutual understanding, and tolerance and/or combat polarization, racism, discrimination, hatred, prejudice, and division.

The Levi Lassen Foundation focuses on philanthropy in Israel that, according to The Declaration of Establishment of the State of Israel: . . . will foster the development of the country for the benefit of all its inhabitants; it will be based on freedom, justice, and peace as envisaged by the prophets of Israel; it will ensure complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants irrespective of religion, race or sex; it will guarantee freedom of religion, conscience, language, education and culture . . . (The Declaration of Establishment of the State of Israel, May 14, 1948).

NGOs may apply for up to 10,000 Euros a year.

Term of Contract:

Grants are given for a period of one year. Grantees may apply for a renewal grant.

Eligibile Applicants: Organizations officially registered as non-profits in Israel (amutot, community interest companies, and charities) with valid authorization of non-profit status (rishum amuta), proper management certificate (nihul takin) (unless the organization exists for only a short time) and valid certification from tax and VAT authorities (Ishur nihul sfarim ve nikuy mas).
