City of Minneapolis
Grants of up to $2,500 to Minneapolis, Minnesota small businesses for upgrades and business practices that will improve energy efficiency. Please note that applications will be reviewed and grants awarded on a first-come, first-served basis through the October 20 final deadline.
This program promotes the well-being of the people and environment of Minneapolis while contributing to a growing economy by investing in energy efficiency.
The City of Minneapolis is committed to creating opportunities for business owners to reduce their environmental and carbon footprint while improving business operations. This program helps business owners overcome financial obstacles to better energy efficiency.

Up to $2,500
All projects must be completed by November 20, 2017.
Business must be located within the City of Minneapolis.
Project/s must be approved for an Xcel Energy or CenterPoint Energy rebate program.
Business owner must provide 80% matching funds for project. Any funds received outside of this program’s funding qualify for the match, including but not limited to grants, utility rebates, and business financing.
The application deadline is October 20, 2017. Applicants are advised to apply as soon as possible. Funds are limited and will be provided “first come, first served”

-January 2, 2017: Application submissions accepted
-October 20, 2017: Deadline (no new applications accepted past this date)
-November 20, 2017: All projects to be completed
-December 8, 2017: Final day to submit documents for reimbursement
