Grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 to Orlando, Florida neighborhood organizations to enhance local communities. Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the January 16 informational webinar. Funding may be requested for projects that implement physical enhancements or improvements, increase public safety, or provide educational and cultural opportunities that benefit neighborhood residents.

The grant term is July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2018 (deadline April 27, 2018) or January 1, 2019 - December 31, 2019 (deadline September 28, 2019).

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants are available to neighborhood organizations, including homeowners’, neighborhood, resident or condominium associations.

Pre-proposal Conference:

Application workshop webinars are offered to organizations planning to apply for a Mayor’s Matching grant. Attendance at an application workshop is strongly encouraged. Workshops will review the guidelines, instructions and application procedures. Each webinar will cover the same information; choose the session most convenient for you. Once registration is completed, you will be given instructions on how to join the webinar from your computer.

The Neighborhood Organizations workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, January 16, 2018, 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

Pre-Application Information:

Please note that the Office of Community Affairs expects to be updating the guidelines for Neighborhood Organizations prior to the upcoming deadline.

There is a dollar-for-dollar match requirement of the City’s contribution using a combination of:
-Volunteer labor
-In-kind donations of goods and services

The Mayor’s Matching Grant Program accepts applications on a year-round basis. Applications received on or before April 27, 2018 will be reviewed for funding recommendations in the spring cycle (Grant Term: July 1, 2018 – June 30, 2019). Applications received on or before September 28, 2018 will be reviewed for funding recommendations in the fall cycle (Grant Term: January 1, 2019 – December 31, 2019).
