Grants of up to $500 to Ohio teachers to help students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing succeed academically. The purpose of this program is to help provided resources for youth in the classroom setting. Funding may be requested by teachers for specific projects that will strengthen the potential of eligible students through innovative techniques used in the classroom.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

A teacher who is certified in the State of Ohio must coordinate the project, and must have at least one student who is deaf or hard-of-hearing.

D.E.A.F. is not inclined to fund projects that are considered the responsibility of the public sector or are mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Acts.

Pre-Application Information:

Application deadlines are March 15, May 15, October 15, and December 15. Grant decisions are generally made within six to eight weeks of the deadline.
