Grants to Rochelle Area, Illinois nonprofit organizations and government agencies to meet the needs of the local community. Program areas include education, arts and culture, social services, community development, health and wellness, and hunger relief. Applications are invited from qualifying organizations serving the needs of individuals residing in the Rochelle Township High School District.

Preference will be given to grant applications that:

-Respond to current, emerging, and/or increasing needs.
-Encourage and enhance cooperation and collaboration among organizations.
-Strengthen volunteer participation and citizen involvement in community concerns.
-Projects that have not been previously funded in the past 3 years.

Each Grant Request will be evaluated based on the following:

-Potential impact of the request and the number of people who will benefit.
-Identification of a clear need.
-Capacity of the organization or individual to carry out the Grant Request.
-Degree to which the request works with or complements other community organizations.
-Ability of the applicant to obtain additional funding that may be needed to complete the project.
-Ability to provide ongoing funding once the grant is expired.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Any 501(c)(3) not-for-profit agency, organization or governmental entity that is exempt from state and federal tax, and serves the needs of individuals residing in the Rochelle Township High School District is welcome to apply.

The Rochelle Area Community Foundation does NOT generally fund:

-Annual fund drives, capital campaigns, or general solicitation requests.
-Financial operating shortfalls or debt retirement.
-Individuals and for-profit entities.

Pre-Application Information:

The application will be available beginning February 1st and closes March 1, 2019.

RACF has implemented an automated grants management system.

Applicants will be notified of funding decisions by mid-April.
