Grants ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 to Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC nonprofit organizations to strengthen communities in the Washington metropolitan area. Priorities include programs for at-risk youth, services for special populations (i.e., families in crisis, homeless children, ill/poor elderly), and grassroots education programs (i.e., after-school tutorial programs).

The service areas are:
-District of Columbia
