Grants ranging from $2,500 to $8,000 to Glendale, Arizona nonprofit social service organizations for programs and projects that provide essential services to the City's residents. Funding may be requested for general operating support or program-specific projects. Funding is intended to support initiatives that promote youth development, strengthen the capabilities of families, and assist residents in addressing crisis needs.

In the past, From the Heart funds have helped ameliorate homelessness and hunger, supported services to children and adults who are victims of violence, and helped teenage parents acquire the skills and resources needed to create a better environment for their children.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The minimum application request is $2,500. Due to the loss of a matching partner, resulting in significantly reduced revenue, the maximum award amount will be $8,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

In order to be eligible for funding, social service agencies must be non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations that serve Glendale residents. Agencies must also be in operation for at least two years prior to applying for grant funds and provide a current IRS status letter.

Please note: This year the FTH Committee will focus on agencies whose primary service area is Glendale and can identify their clients as Glendale residents.

The program cannot provide grants to individuals.

Note: From the Heart does not pay for administrative overhead/indirect costs (i.e. non-program staff, accountants, rent, utilities, insurance etc.).

Pre-proposal Conference:

Representatives from social service agencies that provide services to Glendale residents are invited to attend a workshop to learn how to apply for From The Heart grant funds. Grant applications will be available at the workshop. The date of the workshop is to be determined, so keep checking back for updates.

Application packets must be received, not postmarked, by 4:00 PM on Friday, February 22, 2019. Applications and/or supplemental materials will not be accepted after the deadline.
