Grants to Michigan nonprofits for programs that encourage art education, children and youth engagement in the arts, and community artists in Calhoun County. Applicants must attend an orientation prior to submitting an application. Preference is given to programs that include components of county-wide programming, children’s performances conducted by youth, locating and utilizing storage for art throughout Calhoun County, innovative art curriculum for students, and marketing local art venues.

There are three Calhoun County Art Grants available: Arts in Education Grant (up to $2,500), Artist Request for Funding (up to $2,500), and Arts Innovation Grant (varied amounts).

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for a Calhoun County Art Grant, you will need a valid tax identification number and 501(c)(3) IRS Documentation.

Pre-proposal Conference:

Eligibility for applying for a grant is dependent on each potential grantee attending an orientation before a grant can be submitted. Grantseekers must attend annually to maintain eligibility.

The orientation provides the following information:
- The types of grants offered
- How grant decisions are made
- How much funding you can request

Orientations are the second and fourth Wednesday of every month. The times for the second Wednesday will always be from 2:00-3:00 PM and the fourth Wednesday will always be from 10:00-11:00 AM.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications may be submitted by the first business day of February, May, August, and November for consideration.
