Grants of up to $10,000 to Michigan nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and universities to enhance the tourist trade in eligible areas. Funding is intended to support promotional and publicity related materials and projects that will draw visitors from out of the area, and promote and encourage tourism and convention business through cultural activities in Ingham County.
Ingham County Hotel/Motel Funds for Arts and Tourism are funded by five percent (5%) of Ingham County hotel/motel revenues, per Ingham County Board of Commissioners resolution. Nonprofit organizations located in Ingham County established primarily for cultural, educational, artistic, historical or entertainment purposes are eligible to apply.
To be considered for a grant from the Ingham County Arts and Tourism Fund, an applicant must:
Funding provided to any agency must be utilized to promote tourist and convention business through advertising, distribution of programs, and/or brochures directed toward out-of-county residents.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all proposed activities must be able to meet Ingham County Health Department and CDC guidelines. This includes necessary social distancing parameters and other safety measures that may be in effect at the time of the proposed event.

Proposed activities must take place between May 1, 2021 and April 30, 2022.
