Grants to Colorado nonprofits and government entities in Summit County and the neighboring communities of Alma, Fairplay, Kremmling, and Leadville for community programs. Eligible program areas include basic needs, family support, youth programs, education enrichment, the environment, and arts and culture.

The Foundation is committed to helping working families live comfortably by supporting a variety of efforts to help mitigate the high cost of living and preserve the quality of life.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The maximum request for applicants from outside of Summit County (in one of the neighboring communities of Alma, Fairplay, Kremmling and Leadville) is $10,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization as defined by the IRS or qualified government entity.

Organizations in, or serving the population of Summit County, Colorado as well as the neighboring communities of Alma, Fairplay, Kremmling and Leadville are eligible to apply for a grant from The Summit Foundation.

The following types of requests are ineligible:

- Political campaigns on behalf of any issues or candidate.
- Religious programs that require membership in a certain religion or advance a particular religious faith. Faith-based organizations may be eligible if they welcome and serve all members of the community regardless of religious faith, and do not require participation in activities that are specifically religious.
-Programs or projects that are already completed.

Pre-Application Information:

October 17, 2018: Fall grant application due

Final grant decisions are made by The Summit Foundation Board of Trustees and applicants should expect to be notified within 60 days of the application deadline.
