Scholarships and fellowships ranging from $7,500 to $30,000 to USA dancers for professional training and salary assistance. Scholarships cover the costs of school tuition for dance major students at a nonprofit school, and fellowships provide salary assistance for a new artistic employee of a dance company.

The grant period will run from September 1, 2017, to August 31, 2018.

Students must have been a dance major at the school for at least one year. Please note, grants are based on tuition costs only; no other expenses (i.e. room and board, materials, books, costumes, etc.) may be included. Students enrolled in dance education or graduate programs are not eligible for scholarships.

For fellowships, nominee must have been under contract with the company for at least one year, and not more than five years at time of application.

Notification of the grants will occur by July 31, 2017.

Applicants must be nominated by the dean/department chair of their academic program (if applying for a scholarship) or the artistic director of a company (if applying for a fellowship).

All grants are given directly to the organizations, not the individual. The organizations then disburse the money to the Award Winner. Each school/organization manages this differently based on its own internal system. However, the school itself may not take any administrative fees from the grant.
