Request a Grant Writer

Grants to New Hampshire nonprofit organizations to improve the quality of life for residents and meet basic human needs, such as clothing, food, shelter, heat, and other basic necessities. Special emphasis is placed on programs serving disadvantaged and poor populations. Particular attention will be given to requests for new, emergency, and special projects.

The grants go to organizations in New Hampshire whose mission and operations are consistent with the mission of the Roman Catholic Church.

Multi-year grants (grants requiring fulfillment over a period longer than a year) cannot be funded.

The BCAF gives preference to tax-exempt organizations.

Applicants should include a copy of the organization’s 501(c)(3) federal tax-exemption letter of determination.

The Fund cannot support certain types of requests. These include, but may not be limited to, the following:
-Capital gifts, facility renovations or construction
-Research projects or endowment funds
-Deficit spending or debt liquidation
-Issue advocacy organizations
-The BCAF will generally not consider applications from organizations within the same calendar year. If the organization has received three consecutive years funding for the same program; these organizations are requested to withhold applications for at least two years.

The board meets quarterly to review grant applications. If your organization is interested in applying for a grant your request must be submitted by March 8, 2017 and May 3, 2017.

The Allocation Committee meets on a quarterly basis and it will take up to six weeks for a grant request to be reviewed in full.

A site visit and additional information may be required prior to a final determination.

Before starting your grant application, please review the funding source's website listed below for updates/changes/addendums/conferences/LOIs.
