Request a Grant Writer

Grants to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania nonprofit organizations for initiatives that promote economic security for low-income residents of the Korean American community in eligible regions. Funding is intended for both general operating support and program support. Organizations must serve Korean Americans in the greater New York Metropolitan area.

KACF supports direct service programs, as well as those that address root causes that are barriers to economic security.

The Foundation defines economic security as having the resources to realize the full economic potential of individuals and families through educational attainment, meaningful employment, financial education, public benefits, legal services, access to affordable housing and home-ownership, and other pathways to immediate and long-term economic stability.

KACF is particularly interested in organizations that:

  • Are working with Korean Americans either as a target population or within the larger group of constituents served by the organization/program.
  • Are engaging in partnerships with other community organizations and stakeholders;
  • Have the intention of providing comprehensive support;
  • Are measuring and documenting quantitative and qualitative outcomes; and
  • Can clearly articulate how KACF’s grant will advance their work.

An organization with a budget of $2 million or less may request a general operating or a program-specific support.
