Grants to Roscommon County, Michigan nonprofits, government agencies, faith-based organizations and schools for community benefit and youth programs. Funding is intended for the areas of education, environment, healthcare, human services, recreation, arts and culture, and public benefit. Projects that demonstrate collaborative efforts between multiple organizations are encouraged.

The Roscommon County Community Foundation values projects that promote inclusiveness and that do not discriminate in hiring of staff or providing services on the basis of race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, physical or mental ability, pregnancy, veteran status, military obligations, and marital status.

Term of Contract:

Grant awards expire within one year of approval. If a project is delayed, a six-month extension may be requested.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Who can apply:
501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, educational institutions (preschool through college), and all units of government serving Roscommon County residents.

Grants are for future projects only. No funding will be awarded for projects completed or in process, before final approval by the Board of Trustees.

What is usually not funded:
Ongoing organizational operating expenses, political campaigns, sectarian projects, loan payments or deficit spending, those services normally supported by tax dollars, annual fundraisers, or grants to individuals.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications are due to the RCCF office by 3:00 PM on April 30 and October 1.

RCCF’s grant program is ‘receipt based’ and requires proof of expenditures before funding is disbursed.

Every applicant is encouraged to contact the RCCF before submitting an application to make sure it is eligible for funding.
