Positive Business Directory
Grants of up to $2,500 to USA nonprofit organizations that are working to positively impact communities to gain publicity and connect with donors. Nonprofits will be able to sign up with the funding source’s online directory program and engage with their communities to grow support.
Positive Business Directory has a number of ways to help engage consumers to be more active in their communities. The Directory offers online access to its resources, various signage within businesses, and social media engagement.
Positive Business Directory would like to partner with nonprofit organizations. Positive Business Directory will send donations to your nonprofit based on the level of participation in the program. This partnership acts as an ongoing grant that should equate to thousands of dollars over time.
While the funding source has a business directory, it also manages a nonprofit directory. The minimum participation level involves creating a free nonprofit listing. This listing will serve as a point at which visitors can see which local businesses are supporting your nonprofit.
In exchange for donations and online recognition the funding source asks nonprofit organizations to mention Positive Business Directory in communications to your supporters. Participation includes putting a link on your website where businesses can sign up with the Directory to show their support for your nonprofit, mentioning the Directory in your email newsletter, mentioning the Directory in your social media campaigns, and mentioning the Directory in printed materials.
-Level 1 - Listing: Create or have Directory staff create a listing for you on Positive Business Directory(within the nonprofit portion of the site).
-Level 2 - Mentioning us: On a regular basis mention the Directory in newsletters, social media, printed materials, and direct member relations which include meetings, luncheons, events, etc. Level 1 participation is also required.
-Level 3 - Permanent Links: Set up a link back to your listing on Positive Business Directory on your website and/or a link back to the Directory site which lists the businesses that support your nonprofit. The Directory can help with this as the time for this comes around. Level 1 and level 2 participation is also required.
The benefits to partnering with Positive Business Directory are as follows:
-Increased Donations: The Directory will send a percentage of all business revenue to your nonprofit every month. See more on this below(Potential Donations).
-Web and Social Media Exposure: Every business that signs up and supports your nonprofit will have a link that points back to your organization's website. The Directory will mention you on social media when appropriate.
-Search Engine Rank: Your popularity and relevancy on search engines will increase.
-Brand Awareness: Your nonprofit will be recognized in the community more than it was prior to partnering with us.
-Community Involvement: Due to more engagement with consumers and businesses in the community it is likely that your organization will have more volunteers readily available to help your nonprofit.
Based on your organization’s level of participation shown below you will have an idea of how much you can expect from Positive Business Directory over time. A smaller or larger supporter base may lower or increase your donation potential. The “donation percent” represents the participation levels respectively. The percentage is based on revenue generated by your supporting businesses.
The more businesses that sign up that support your nonprofit the more donation potential you have.
Positive Business Directory generates revenue from paid featured listings that are subscription based. Once a business signs up for a free listing the funding source will contact them to tell them the benefits of having a featured listing and also ask them if they would like a sign to display at their business location with details about the nonprofit that they have chosen to support.
More frequent than not businesses sign up with the Directory and don’t have an idea of who they would like to support. When this occurs staff will match the business up with a local nonprofit of their choice. In this instance the Directory will look at nonprofits that have already signed up first as potential benefactors of that business signup. In addition for a limited time (2017) any business that signs up for a free business listing that was referred to the Directory by your organization will receive 5 dollars, so right off the bat you have the potential to bring in donations.
