Grants to Greenville County, South Carolina individual artists for collaborative arts projects that will advance the development of the artists or ensembles involved. As applicable, priority will be given to projects that allow all residents and visitors access to the arts; projects that help stimulate economic and community development through the arts; and projects that emphasize arts programming that develop and/or attract new arts audiences.

Projects should begin or take place during February to April, 2018.

Applicants must satisfy ALL eligibility requirements as follows:
-Be practicing artists in dance, music, literature, media, theater or visual arts.
-Be at least 18 years old and not matriculating students throughout the grant cycle.
-Be a permanent resident of Greenville County for a minimum of 6 months prior to the application deadline and during the grant period. Must be able to prove residency if asked by panel.

Applicants who have outstanding MAC project support activities or reports are ineligible to apply for funds until all previously awarded grant requirements have been completed and approved.

The project or collaborative relationship should not be permanent or on-going. Collaborations that are aiming to evolve into a permanent entity are not eligible for this grant category.

A 1:1 match is required of which no more than 25% of total costs may be met by in-kind contributions.


Wednesday, February 15 for projects beginning or taking place during May - July 2017.
Monday, May 15 for projects beginning or taking place during August - October 2017.
Tuesday, August 15 for projects for projects beginning or taking place during November 2017 - January 2018.
Wednesday, November 15 for projects beginning or taking place during February - April 2018.

Applications must be postmarked or delivered to the MAC office by 5:00 PM PM of the deadline date.

If the deadline occurs on a holiday or weekend, the next business day becomes the default deadline date. No late, faxed or emailed applications may be accepted.
